Die Gemeindepsychologie hatte bei der diesjährigen Internationalen Konferenz der Psychologie (ICP) “Psychology for the Future: Together in Hope” in Prag einen besonderen Stellenwert. Sowohl direkt über konkrete Symposien als auch indirekt über Themen zum Umgang mit den vielfältigen Krisen und der Notwendigkeit über die individualpsychologische Perspektive hinaus zu gehen. Inbesondere die European Federation of Psychology Associations (EFPA) hatte mehrere Symposien und Diskussionsrunden initiiert, bei der die Rolle der Psychologie im gesellschaftlichen Transformationsprozess im Vordergrund stand und gemeindepsychologische Bezüge hergestellt wurden. Die Diskussion zur Klimakrise fordert eine Psychologie, die den Kontext und die Gemeinschaft einbezieht, angesichts der Tatsache, dass eine Fokusierung auf die rein individuelle Verhaltensänderung nicht ausreicht (Beispielhafte Beiträge waren u.a. “Psychology of climate change – between science and politics”; “The climate crises: increasingly an important field of action for European Psychology”; “Social and climate change: knowledge transfer and strategies from a community psychology perspective”). Letzter Beitrag war von unserem deutschen GGFP-Kollegen Bernd Röhrle. Auch Wolfgang Stark hatte ein Diskussion-Panel zusammen mit Tiffeny Jiménez zu “Transformative Community Stories: The Role of Collective Story-telling in community building” gehalten und war Co-Diskutant bei “Critical Global Education for Community Psychology: Subverting the Geopolitics of Knowledge Systems”.

Im Symposium “Visions, methods and psychologists competencies in a community psychology approach” wurden Konzepte unserer Europäischen Kolleg*innen vorgestellt, bei der u.a. Caterina Arcidiacono als eingeladene Vortragende einen Beitrag zu “community trust tackling hope and social changes” hielt. Auch bei den Poster-Sessions konnte man einige gemeindepsychologische Konzepte entdecken. Hervorzuheben gilt es, dass auch eigenständige kulturell eingebettete Konzepte vorgestellt wurden (z.B. „Ubuntu“ aus Afrika oder „Ibasho“ aus Asien, die jeweils eine gemeinschaftliche Konzeption und Tradition von psychischer Gesundheit vertreten), die eine gewisse Emanzipation darstellen gegenüber der westlich dominierenen Definition psychologischer Konzepte.

Insgesamt war es eine positive Erfahrung in Prag für die Gemeindepsychologie und es wird ein Wiedersehen im Europäischen Kontext mit der ECP in Zypern 2025 geben.
